Description of the OSLIN system
The aim of the OSLIN project is to create lexica that are as accessible as possible. However, since the creation of large-scale high-quality lexica unavoidable involves a lot of work, the database are nevertheless copyright protected. The copyright of the database of each language belongs to the research institute(s) responsible for the creation and maintenance of that language. It is up to those institutes to decide exactly in which way the data are made available, and it is the responsibility of those institutes to ensure that their data do not infringe upon copyright held by publishers are other organizations.
The computational infrastructure is copyright of the author(s). The main architecture was written and developed by Maarten Janssen. Additional language-specific modules for the diplay or maintenance of specific data can be developed at the participating institutes.
